How it is made
From your camera roll to their portrait
Three steps, and a human looks at your photo in every one of them.
You send the photo
Pick the photo where your pet is clearest — every pet is welcome. Upload it on this page with the name you want engraved. It travels with your order, so there is no second email to remember.
We draw and send a mock-up
From your photo we build artwork that keeps the features you recognise and still reads at pendant size, then email it to you. If the photo will not work, we write and ask for another one before anything is engraved.
Yours for good
We engrave the artwork onto the medallion and hand-finish it — 5 to 7 days in the workshop — then send it tracked, boxed and ready to give.
Photos that work: daylight, the face filling a good part of the frame, eyes visible. Photos that struggle: very dark shots, heavy filters, the pet far away or facing away, or a screenshot of a screenshot. Send your favourite anyway — we will tell you honestly before we engrave.

Stainless steel — the one to choose for everyday wear. It does not tarnish, it is fine in the shower and the sea, and it is nickel-safe for most sensitive skin.
925 sterling silver — the heirloom option, with a softer, warmer lustre. Silver naturally darkens over time; a quick polish brings it back.
Copper — warm and characterful, and it develops a patina with wear. Copper can leave a temporary green-ish mark on skin and is the least suited to constant wet wear, so we would not pick it for a shower-on necklace. We would rather tell you that now than have you discover it later.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Put it on after perfume, sunscreen and hairspray, not before — those are what dull a finish fastest.
Take silver and copper off for swimming, the shower and the gym. Steel can stay on.
Store it flat and on its own — chains tangle, and a hard stone will scratch a polished disc.

Mock-up: 1–2 days
We email your engraving mock-up for approval. The clock on crafting starts when you reply.
Crafting: 5–7 days
Engraved and hand-finished. You get a dispatch email with tracking as soon as it is boxed.
In transit
Tracked delivery worldwide. Most orders arrive within 2–3 weeks of ordering, start to finish.
Shipping is free worldwide and tracked the whole way. Ordering for a birthday or Christmas? Order at least four weeks ahead, or email us first and we will tell you straight whether it can make your date.
Questions
Asked before you ask
Can I see the engraving before it is made?
Yes, and you do not have to ask. Once you order, our artists draw your pet and email you the mock-up for approval. Nothing is engraved until you reply. If you would like a change — a different crop, the name larger — just say so.
What if my photo is not good enough?
Upload your favourite anyway. If it is too dark, too distant or too blurred to read at pendant size, we email you and ask for another before engraving. We would rather ask than guess.
Is it waterproof? Can I shower in it?
Stainless steel, yes — it does not tarnish and it is fine with water, so you can swim and shower in it.
Sterling silver and copper, no. Both react to water, soap and sweat over time. Take them off first and they will keep their finish for years.
Will it irritate sensitive skin?
Our stainless steel is nickel-safe and suits most sensitive skin, and 925 sterling silver is generally well tolerated. Copper can leave a temporary green-ish mark on some skin — harmless, and it washes off, but if you react to metals easily we would steer you to steel.
If you have a diagnosed metal allergy, please check with your doctor rather than taking our word for it.
How long will the engraving last?
It is cut into the metal, not printed on top, so it does not peel, fade or wash away. Decades of ordinary wear will soften the very finest lines on a polished surface — that is the patina of something worn, not a fault.
Can I have more than one pet on it?
Yes — choose 2 or 3 pets in the options above. Each extra pet is drawn by hand and takes real time at the easel, so a second pet adds $15 and a third adds $25.
The pendant has limited room, so three faces on one disc means each is smaller. If we think it will not read clearly we will say so in the mock-up email and suggest an alternative — such as a second necklace, so each pet gets the room they deserve.
Can I return or exchange a personalised necklace?
Because the piece is engraved for you, it cannot be resold, so we cannot accept change-of-mind returns once engraving has begun. That is exactly why we get your approval on a mock-up first — before that point you can change anything or cancel for a full refund.
If it arrives faulty, damaged, or not matching the mock-up you approved, that is on us: we remake or refund it. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Which chain length should I choose?
40 cm sits at the collarbone and is the most ordered. 45 cm falls just below it, 50 cm on the upper chest, and 60 cm wears comfortably over a jumper. If you are buying as a surprise, 45 cm is the safest guess.
Is it a good memorial gift?
It is one of the main reasons people order. If it is a memorial piece, say so in the notes — we take extra care with the drawing and keep the packaging plain and quiet, with no prices inside.

Approved by you before it is cut
You see the drawing before the engraver touches the metal. Until you approve it you can change anything or cancel outright for a full refund. After that, if what arrives does not match what you approved — or it turns up damaged — we remake it or refund you. We would rather lose the sale than send you the wrong face.
