How it is made

From your spelling to the metal

A person reads every name before a machine cuts it.

You give us the name

In Arabic if you have it, in English if you do not. It travels with your order, so there is nothing to email afterwards.

We send the calligraphy

We set the name in flowing Arabic script and email it to you. If it was in English, this is where you check the translation reads the way you expect.

We cut and finish it

Once you approve, the pendant is cut and hand-finished, then sent tracked — about 3 to 4 weeks from order to doorstep.

If you are not sure of the spelling: send what you have. Arabic names are often written several ways, and we would rather show you the options than guess and cut the wrong one.

Asked before you ask

I do not know how to write the name in Arabic

That is fine and very common. Type it in English, choose “please translate it for me”, and we will set it in Arabic and email you the calligraphy before anything is cut. If the name can be written more than one way, we will show you.

How long does it take?

About 3 to 4 weeks from order to doorstep — that covers approving the calligraphy, cutting and finishing the piece, and tracked delivery. It can run longer around public holidays or when demand is heavy. If you need it for a date, email us first and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Not once it has been cut — the piece carries someone's name and cannot be sold to anyone else, so change-of-mind returns, exchanges and cancellations are not possible after production begins.

That is exactly why we send the calligraphy for approval first. Until you approve it you can change anything or cancel for a full refund. If it arrives faulty, damaged or not matching what you approved, we remake it or refund you.

How long can the name be?

Up to 30 characters, though shorter names read far better at pendant size. If what you have sent will be too cramped to read, we will say so when we send the calligraphy and suggest an alternative.

Which chain length should I choose?

45 cm sits at the collarbone and is the more popular of the two. 35 cm sits higher, closer to the base of the neck. Both come with a 5 cm extender, so there is some room either way.

Will it tarnish?

It is made to resist tarnishing and is water resistant, so everyday wear is fine. It will still last longest if you put it on after perfume and hairspray rather than before, and wipe it now and then with the cloth in the box.

Can I order it with other jewellery?

You can, but the whole order will ship together once this piece is finished — so the other items wait for it. If you want them sooner, place two separate orders.
